There is quite new news... and better news this time!
It seems that the Comedy Kav is back... for now at least. This is good news indeed. West Midlands comedy needs James Cook and the Kav. There also seems to be a new Comedy Junction venue in Lichfield, a new Mirth Control venue in Tipton, and another in Walsall that I hadn't listed on this page before.
All we need to complete the good news is also a return for the Bear in Bearwood. That venue had become part of the Comedy Junction empire, but Comedy Junction have no news of upcoming shows. Let's hope that comedy at the Bear can return in the near future, and continue to provide opportunities for local comedians.
There are two prime sources of up-to-date comedy club listings which give the date, time and location of shows at current comedy clubs. One source is Channel4 Teletext Page 369, and another source is the Chortle Website Midlands Diary for which there is a link below. It is always checking both. Live comedy in theatres is listed on the Birmingham Arts Website for which there is also a link below.
